Ancient giraffe skin vessel, Gabra, Kenya

The Gabra live in the semi-desert regions of northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia.
Nomads, camel breeders, they are part of the Oromo people.
This container, used for water or milk, is made of giraffe skin. Once the skin is sewn, it is filled with sand and put to dry.
