The black clay pottery known as Chamba is non-toxic and handmade in a traditional process that goes back centuries. They are made by generations of families in the village of La Chamba, southwest of Bogota, Colombia. The vessels are made from local micaceous clay extracted from the banks of the Magdalena River. The ochre colour is obtained by means of a layer of ochre clay applied before firing.

This traditional and elegant pottery can be put in the oven or in the flame.
