The Iringa open basket is handmade in Tanzania.
This basket is made in the Iringa region which has a long history of basket weaving and is also home to the Hehe people. They are woven from milulu grass, a reed-like marsh grass. Originally, these baskets were used to carry produce from the farm to market.
Today, they are a great storage tool for any room in the house. Use them for your houseplants, blankets, magazines, toys, office wastebasket, etc. These baskets are also very durable and can be rinsed with water if you want to reshape or clean them!
