Nestled in a former wheat mill, our showroom blends the warmth of history with AS’ART’s contemporary spirit.
After thirty years in Paris’s Passage du Grand Cerf, we chose the calm of the Valois countryside, south of the Compiègne forest.
This industrious yet poetic space reflects our world — place of inspiration, encounters, and creativity — where craftsmanship breathes anew.
At AS’ART, materials speak to one another, and continents engage in dialogue.
North and South, Scandinavian design and African craftsmanship, industrial lines and handmade gestures — our choices transcend borders.
We embrace contrast and harmony — the stories that objects whisper.
Each piece finds its balance between simplicity and emotion, precision and freedom — the very essence of our style.

An engineer by training and a graduate of École Centrale de Paris, Jean-Paul Merlin traded his suit and tie for the open world.
A long, transformative journey revealed to him the beauty of gesture, material, and human encounters.
In 1991, he founded AS’ART with the belief that craftsmanship is a universal language — a bridge between cultures.
Since then, he has woven the same thread: celebrating the hand, the pure form, and the honesty of handmade work — a rare alliance of emotion, precision, and humanity — the essence of his lifelong pursuit.
